Round 1-4 September 2026 – Results
Fusion 1 take two wins from opening Premier weekend – and a BATTS scoreline that doesn’t tell the story
Fusion 1 won two of their four fixtures on the opening weekend of the Senior British Club League Premier Division, played on 26–27 September, and sit on eight points alongside eBaTT.
The weekend began with a repeat of last season’s opening fixture and scoreline, a 4-3 win over North Ayrshire. Larry Trumpauskas and Rikuto Morota put Fusion 2-0 up before the Scottish side won the doubles and levelled to lead 3-2. Lorestas Trumpauskas beat Joe Mulhern 3-0 to square the match, and Rikuto sealed it with a 3-0 win over Billy Shilton to finish as Player of the Match.
Round 2 went the other way, a 4-3 defeat to Premier newcomers DHS Hurricane Kingsway, whose Guillaume Alcayde went unbeaten all weekend. Fusion’s three points came from Shaquille Webb Dixon’s win over Matthew Dodds, Lorestas coming from 2-0 down to beat Dodds in five, and the doubles.
Sunday started in style with a 6-1 win over former champions Ormeau. Shaquille held off a comeback from Oriol Monzo to win 11-8 in the fifth, Larry beat Monzo 3-1 and Adam Faulkner 3-1 to take Player of the Match, and Shaquille and Lorestas finished with straight-games wins.
The weekend closed against hosts BATTS, a fixture that has become a real friendly rivalry. The 7-0 scoreline looks one-sided, but the matches were anything but. Lorestas lost 14-12 in the fifth to BATTS’ new international signing Edouard Valenet, and Shaquille lost 14-12 in the fifth to Abraham Earl Sellado, the reverse of last season’s fixture, when Shaquille won deuce in the fifth at Fusion. Shaquille also led Isaac Kingham 2-1 before losing in five, the doubles went 13-11 in the fourth, and Larry lost a fourth game 12-10 to Kingham. Fusion were in front in the deciding games but just couldn’t convert those leads into wins, and we’re already looking forward to the return fixture.
